Facility Rules

 

Rules are displayed in each facility on the 'Use of Facility' board. Rules in each facility must be observed at all times. 

 

Conduct in Kensington Park

 

  1. Considerate behaviour: Each Member will make no noisy, improper, offensive or unlawful use of the Common Facilities, and will use the Common Facilities only for the purposes for which they are designed.  No Member will undertake an activity which is or may become a nuisance, cause unreasonable embarrassment, disturbance or annoyance to the other Members or Member’s Guests in the use and enjoyment of the Common Facilities as assessed by the Manager, the Committee, or appointed sub-committee.

  2. Don’t Litter: No Member will drop any litter in or on the Common Facilities.

  3. Don’t Damage the Common Facilities: No Member will do any act which detracts from the attractiveness, state of repair, or possible voidance for insurance of the Common Facilities. If any damage or loss occurs, the Member will immediately report such damage to the Manager.

  4. Temporary Structures: No temporary (more than three days) structures of any kind are to be installed on Common Facilities and not visible from the road, driveway or walking paths.

  5. Signs and placards: No Member, or representative of the Member, may place a sign, placard, banner or emblem of any kind, or allow to be kept or placed, in Kensington Park with the exception of one “Open Home” sign, which may only be displayed while the event is occurring.

  6. Rubbish Disposal: No Member will store or dispose of any rubbish except into bins or receptacles for removal on normal days by the local authority or by independent contractors. Bins or rubbish receptacles should be placed and retrieved on the day of collection.

  7. Smoke-free: No smoking in any part of the Common Facilities.

 

Conditions of Use

 

  • The use of sites for exclusive private functions is permitted only when an application has been made to the Manager of Kensington Park Residents’ Association (apm), and consent has been granted by the Manager.

  • Site to be used for function only through hours specified by the applicant.

  • No event to extend beyond 10:00 pm.

  • All rubbish to be removed from the site.

  • All of the nominated area to be cleared and cleaned after use.

  • Events must be maintained within site and not extend onto gardens, foot-paths or streets.

  • No open fires are to be set or lit.

  • BBQ’s accepted; care to be taken to negate fire risk and to avoid all possibility of oils or fats dropping on to the paths, pebbles or lawns.

  • No hot items or portable BBQ’s to be placed on park benches or tables (park tables or trestle tables being the property of KPRA).

  • No glass vessels on lawns

  • No spikes, poles or pins to be driven into lawns; those wishing to erect a marquee are required to seek consent from APM as there is a risk of damaging the irrigation network.

 

POOL, SAUNA AND GYM RULES Pool and Sauna Rules

 

  1. Supervision: The Swimming Pool is NOT supervised. All children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or older, who is a resident.

  2. Children: No more than four (4) children (under 18 years of age) per property are allowed in the Pool or Sauna at any one time. (Parkside Drive Pool)

  3. Maximum Numbers Using Pool/ Sauna: A maximum of four (4) guests per property may use these facilities at any one time unless prior consent of the Manager has been obtained (Parkside Drive Pool).

  4. Actions: No running, jumping, pushing or diving in the swimming pool. 

  5. Health & Hygiene: For health and hygiene reasons we encourage you to shower before entering the pool. No pets are allowed within the building, and the facilities must not be used while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If you have a medical condition, please take additional care in the  Pool and Sauna.

  6. Nappies: Children who are not toilet-trained must wear swim  nappies in the Pool, which are provided in the wall cabinet (cabinet is marked and labelled)

  7. Accompanied Use:  All guests using this complex must be accompanied by a Resident. The security fobs are personalised to each property and must not be given to Guests to use. No running, jumping, pushing or diving is allowed in the Swimming Pool vicinity.

  8. No Food or Drink: No food or drink is permitted in or around the Pool or Sauna.

  9. Swimming Aids: Swimming aids may be used, but no swim toys, boogie-boards, balls etc. in the pool, while other members are sharing the facility.

 

Gym Rules

 

  1. Minimum age: No children under the age of 13 are allowed in the Gym.

  2. Guests: All guests wishing to use the Gym must be accompanied by a resident of Kensington Park.

  3. Capacity: The maximum number allowed in the Gym area at one time is 8 (Parkside Drive Gym). A maximum of two  (2) guests per property will be entitled to use the Gym unless the prior consent of the Manager is obtained.

  4. Take Special Care: This Gym is NOT supervised. Please take care while using the equipment. Take additional care if you have a medical condition. Please be considerate of other members wishing to use the equipment.

  5. No Alcohol or drugs: No Alcohol or drugs are allowed in or around the Pool House building. Never use equipment in the Gym while under the influence of Alcohol or Drugs.

  6. No Glass: No Glass is allowed.

  7. Cleanliness & Hygiene: Towels or sanitised wipes must be used to wipe down Gym equipment after use.

  8. No Pets: No pets are allowed within the building.

 

 

Use of BBQ’s

 

  • BBQ's may be "borrowed" from KPRA by residents only where they are to be used within the area of the Frank Mackereth Park, Entrance Park or Martin Freer Pergola.

  • The borrower becomes the responsible person for aspects of safety and the care and maintenance of the BBQ.

  • Use of BBQ's must be arranged at least one week in advance of the date of use.

  • Collection of BBQ’s to be arranged via Manager.

  • BBQ's must be thoroughly cleaned before return.

  • Any damage to be reported; all costs of repair or replacement on loss rest with the member borrowing the equipment.

  • Borrowers must: Be Members of KPRA, sign the register to assure that they take responsibility for the item and that they understand the operation and use of the item and assure that they will attend to and operate the item in a safe manner and undertake to negate all risk of injury to other assets or others.

  • Tenants may book and use the BBQ and event assets of the Association under the guidance and responsibility of their landlord or their property manager. Any charges for remedy or damage or any claim resulting from injury will be directed to the member (owner/landlord) in the first instance.

  • Gas bottles must be checked to ensure that the valve is fully closed prior to BBQ being returned to the building.
